The Golf Courses
West Cliffs Golf Links
Owned and managed by the popular Praia del Rey Golf Resort the West Cliffs course has everything….and more. Huge congratulations should go to the design team and those at Praia del Rey that made this happen. They have created a course that is arguably the best golf course in Portugal and no expense has been spared to provide golfers with a golfing experience they will never forget. Almost every hole boasts spectacular views of the Atlantic as the holes carve they way through the natural sand dunes. 
This perfect golfing terrain has afforded the design team the opportunity to create a true masterpiece with rolling fairways and undulating greens providing a stern test to even the most accomplished golfers. Various tee positions mean golfers of all abilities can experience West Cliffs.
Praia d'el Ray
A classic links course spread out along dunes and cliffs, with pines inland ready to collect wayward shots. This is a real treat to play - the views and setting are simply stunning. The 17th is a mere 570 yards. Long and difficult off the back tees, but there are five tees, so all can and will enjoy the experience.
Bom Sucesso
Vastly improved by the new owners and always in great condition now, the course is a challenging parkland layout with some spectacular views over the sea and the Óbidos lagoon. The course is perfect for players who enjoy a good challenge. The well-designed greens and strategically positioned bunkers encourage golfers to hit straight and accurately. A fine but fair challenge, Guardian Bom Sucesso is recommended for all handicaps.
Royal Obidos
The feature hole of the front nine is the 5th, an exciting 520m par 5, with a final approach into a large undulating green surrounded on three sides by water. The second nine holes lie in the central and southern section of the development. Six of the holes meander between an intricate ecosystem of lakes interconnected by cascading streams. The highlight of the back nine is the 12th, a 420m par 4, where the golfer has to negotiate both the drive and the second shot between and over two lakes and the curving stream.
